XRF LEAD INSPECTIONS
We use HPD-allowed X-ray fluorescence technology to quickly and accurately detect lead in paint, soil, and other surfaces without damaging them. This non-invasive method is widely used for safety compliance in homes, buildings, and renovation projects.
PAINT CHIP SAMPLING
This technique provides highly accurate results to test for lead by collecting small samples of painted surfaces and analyzing them in a laboratory.
DUST WIPE CLEARANCE TEST
This method is used to check for lead contamination after lead abatement or renovation work.
HPD VIOLATIONS
This is issued by New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) when a property fails to comply with local lead safety laws. These violations typically require property owners to remediate lead hazards, such as lead-based paint, to protect tenants, especially children, from lead exposure. We are specialized in helping all owners in getting violations corrected.
LOCAL LAW 31
Owners must test all rental units for lead-based paint by August 2025. If a child under six moves into a unit, testing must be completed within one year or by the August 2025 deadline, whichever comes first. Oasis Indoor Environmental, Inc., an independent EPA-certified lead inspector, utilizes XRF equipment to detect lead at the mandated threshold. We are available for inspections of both large buildings and smaller properties.
